Supplies and Accessories Checklist

• cork grease

• swab (pull through)

• mouthpiece brush

• powder paper (optional)

• mouthpiece cap

• reeds !

• reed guard (reed case)

After Each Use

• return reed to reedguard (reed case)

• place cap on mouthpiece

• swab instrument

• wipe instrument down, removing traces of fingerprints

• return instrument to case

Weekly

• clean mouthpiece using liquid hand soap and lukewarm water

• visually inspect instrument for mechanical changes (ie. loose screws, corks, felts, etc.)

• vacuum case

Yearly

• have instrument looked at by a qualified technician.

Instrument Case

Your case is a very important piece of equipment as it protects your instrument against small bumps and scratches.

• most cases do not offer protection against heavy drops

• do not store music/music folder inside your case unless it is designed for this.

• DO NOT SIT ON YOUR CASE!

• make sure instrument fits properly in case

Money - Saving Tips

• never use polish on instrument

• never wash instrument other than mouthpiece

• do not attempt to oil instrument yourself!
